These floor pads work very effectively because of the crimped fibres penetrating into the pores and releasing the in-grained dirt. For this reason, extra friction is often created which can easily be off set by increasing the solution volume and decreasing the pad pressure. They will outlast standard abrasive floorpads by about 4 times.
